We’ve set 2 new dates for seminars next month, and these are both on Saturdays to give a chance to those of you who work during the week to attend.   Saturday 6th we’ll be in Redruth, and on 27th we’ll be in Truro.  Places are limited and tickets are on sale now.  Venues to be confirmed.

We also have some exciting news - our private membership site is well under construction and due to launch next month.  We’re frantically working on producing the 40+ video tutorials that we are expecting to have ready for the launch date, and have secured a deal with another company to provide access to some of their content to all of our members as a bonus.

We’ll post more details nearer the launch date, but expect video tutorials, articles, templates, software and more, plus a unique feedback system where you can ask questions and get answers from the experts!

We are looking at holding seminars in Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol later in the summer and we want to guage demand, and find suitable venues. If you would be interested in attending one of our seminars please send us a quick email and let us know where you are. Even if it’s not near one of the cities mentioned, if there is enough demand we will hold a seminar further afield.

Similarly, if you know of a suitable venue please let us know. We need a conference room with full conference facilities, preferebly with easy access to main roads and/or rail transport.

Venues for the Cornish seminars in August are being finalised and will be posted here shortly. However, we are already taking bookings for the seminars in Redruth, Penzance, Newquay and Bodmin and you can reserve your place online now.

Based on customer feedback we have decided to run these seminars on Saturdays to help people who were unable to attend during the week due to work commitments.  We are also in the process of making some slight alterations to the course content to make it more ‘hands on’ with slightly less theory, and a bit more emphasis on the ‘how to’ aspects of web design.

We’d love more feedback so if you have suggestions for course modules or videos, or ideas that you’d like to see integrated do leave a comment or send us an email before the next batch of seminars begin.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for a whole load of video tutorials which will be added to the site over the next couple of weeks!

We’re now in the process of setting up a number of dates and venues for the summer and, based on the feedback from yesterday, making some small alterations to the course content to make it even more useful.

Future seminars will have slightly less theory and more time, hands on, showing real life examples on screen.  We’re also increasing our coverage on FTP and publishing websites to a live server - backed up by a video in the members area covering this vital skill.

By the beginning of nest week there will be another 5 videos in the members area so be sure to sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date on the content available.

The member’s area will also have software tools and a ton of resources from html page templates, banners, graphics and more.

Press releases, adverts, site updates, video production… things just have not slowed down for five minutes!

Thanks to everyone for all the great feedback I’ve been getting already for the site, and the upcoming seminar. Lots of people seem really excited about the whole project, not least myself. We have adverts lined up for the next couple of weeks, and the seminar support material is almost ready for the printers.

The video tutorials for the members area are slowly coming together, and I’ll be uploading the first 2 as free samples for anyone to take a look at. Just fill out your name and email on the homepage to view them. They should be online tomorrow, and I do welcome any feedback. The schedule for the video production is quite hectic over the next couple of weeks but if there are specific topics that you want covered please let me know. I want this site to be a resource that provides great content, and it has to be the content that you, my visitors, wants!

This is the first post on the 1DayWebmaster site, a new resource for budding web designers, taking the complete beginner through the entire website creation process step by step.

I have been developing the 1DayWebmaster system over the last 2 years while teaching web design, both in classroom situations, and through one to one private tuition. The end result is a new way of looking at the learning process, and the website you are now viewing, along with a one day seminar and support package.

This site is still under construction and some features will follow over the next 2 weeks. In time, the members only login area will access video tutorials on every aspect of web design, covering the content of the seminar, and we have a DVD in production for release later this year.

I do hope you find the site a useful resource, I welcome your input and feedback, and I look forward to meeting you at the next 1DayWebmaster seminar!
