Hi, my name is Billy Deakin and I am the founder of 1DayWebmaster. As the founder of KernowWeb Designs, I’ve been building commercial websites since 1999, and in recent years I’ve also been teaching web design, as one-to-one tutoring and giving workshops. It’s through my experience working with my students that I was inspired to create the 1DayWebmaster system.

Most of my tutoring clients were small businesses, who wanted just enough knowledge to edit their existing site without having to call in their web designer every time, or to build a simple but effective site from scratch. They weren’t interested in becoming the best designer or programmer around, they just wanted to get the job done! Others were graphic designers whose clients were asking them to include a website in their packages, and others still had no intention of designing websites at all, but were fed up with banging their head against the wall during one sided conversations with their outsourced web developers who seemed to speak a different language of techie jargon!

I’ve taken the elements of web design that I’m most commonly asked to teach, and distilled them into a one day seminar. By keeping the course concise and concentrating only on the most essential elements, 1DayWebmaster gives a complete beginner to web design the knowledge, skills and confidence to build and maintain their own websites.
